DocuWare Optional Add-On Modules
Active Import
Active Import integrates digital copy machines (MFP’s) and network
scanners, so that paper documents and files of every type can be quickly
and easily stored in DocuWare. Active Import can also take your e-mail and
automatically store it in DocuWare alongside all of your other documents.
Whether it's from other Windows applications, scanned records or e-mail,
everything is stored in one common document pool.
Recognition Module
DocuWare Recognition allows you to file away documents more efficiently
by extracting index words or keywords from scanned documents. By using barcodes
or OCR (Optical Character Recognition), information can be read from pre-defined
zones and then transferred for indexing.
Content Folder (Workflow)
Content Folder gives users “virtual folders“ containing links
to documents filed in DocuWare. By accessing a workflow folder, users can
immediately check the status of a file and approve or stamp the document.
Once a document is stamped, it is automatically routed to the next user
that needs to view or approve the document.
Link Module
Link is designed to integrate the DocuWare client with any software application.
Simply highlight text in the program and press an assigned function key
to access documents that have been stored in a DocuWare file cabinet. The
function keys are assigned specific functions within the Image Retrieval
configuration tool. The configuration tool assigns a field within a file
cabinet. When the function key is pressed the highlighted text is used as
search criteria. A DocuWare Result List returns a list all of the documents
in the file cabinet that match the search criteria.
Web Client
The DocuWare Web Client allows users to quickly access a central document
pool without the need to install additional software or plug-ins on their
local PC. The DocuWare Web Client provides quick access, through a Web browser,
to any kind of archived document. Virtually any type of business record
can be searched, displayed, downloaded, stored, and edited via a company’s
internal intranet or the Internet.
